Overview
The team at Tagalong came to us after a long and expensive process of working with an offshore development team, they had an app on the app store that worked and a small user base for their niche product.
They wanted to have more control over their application and future product enhancements as well as a stable app that their users could rely on. We worked with the team to design two applications; one for the athlete app and one for the pros in order for them to create and post sessions as well as manage their scheduled sessions with athletes.
Problem Statement
They were less than thrilled with the progress their previous dev team had made, as it cost them a fortune for every tweak or bug fix they needed. They were looking for a new tech stack to provide them with more async communication and quicker return time on changes; they wanted to move fast but didn’t have the right partner to begin with. They reached out to see how we could help them improve the UX of the application along with cleaning up some of the UI to make it more consistent with modern brand guidelines.
Solutions
We stepped in and helped them realize their possibilities by offering development in Flutterflow; so that we could take the majority of the tech responsibility on our shoulders and leverage our experience to help get them a revamped and improved user experience launched in 3 months.
We worked with their Head of Product to develop a PRD and wireframe out the screens needed for the minimal viable product to be ready to launch. We then dove into the project and fully redesigned their application from the ground up, providing a more modern color scheme, brand style guide & icon set along with improved flows for primary user flows.
We were able to help the TAGALONG PRO team successfully redesign their entire application, convert those designs to Flutterflow and fully develop the platform all within Flutterflow, including, two way chat, E-Commerce, Push Notifications, Single Session Requests (from a pro to a single athlete) and an entire news feed for the TAGALONG community.
Conclusion
We helped them launch their redesigned and fully functioning apps in half the time it took for their initial MVP, and the app has been working incredibly well ever since. They have been able to onboard new Pro Athletes as trainers for any athlete that wants to purchase training plans from them. You are now able to get incredible insights from pro athletes as you train for marathons, competitions and just general accomplishments in your life.
